Factory Fifteen, a BAFTA award winning cgi, film and vfx studio, commissioned Jackdaw to help them bring the vision for their new studio to life. 

Being creative and talented visualisers themselves we were presented with a plan and visual of their ideas, which is most unusual.  Our plan was to turn their own ideas into a functional, stylish and creative studio which met the needs of their workforce.

A 3m x 3m bencore sliding door separates one part of the space,  creating a meeting room able to sit 20 people.  We refurbished their iron antique table base, creating a larger laminated ply top and paired it with new classic Eames DSR chairs.  A 65” Samsung Frame TV is mounted at one end of the room for video calls and presentations.

Although largely desk based for day-to-day tasks, it was still important to incorporate areas for agile working, informal meetings and socialising. The large TV area, surrounded by low-backed sectional sofas allows for a variety of uses including game night! The studio is well populated with a good selection of plants to soften the edges of the space and have a positive impact on staff wellbeing.
