Wunderman Thompson approached us to refurbish their London Headquarters. The office is housed on a floor of the historic Greater London House building in NW1. Our approach was to expose the original features of this former cigarette factory while also encouraging a more collaborative style of working within the company.

By reprogramming the floor-plate, we located open workspaces near natural light with nearby meeting rooms and tea / coffee facilities. This encouraged people to move to a more agile style of working while simultaneously revealing the industrial scale of the space.

The introduction of plants is important to our design process. The scale of this once art deco factory and the abundance of natural light was a perfect environment for large architectural planting, which was also movable to allow for any talks or events to take place in the space.

We have always specified vintage furniture in our interiors and in this case vintage display cabinets were used to divided areas and were also repurposed as a reception desk. While providing transparency they replace the previous corporate furniture with pieces which have history and a story.
