STUDIO OUTPUT

When Studio Output first showed us their historic old factory building we knew there was an amazing space in there behind the 80’s call center partitions, and it
was up to us to find it.

Due to its listed nature, we worked sympathetically with the building to reveal and restore all the period features. Everything needed stripping out; walls floors and ceilings. New power and data was run throughout.

Budget was a key factor so we used simple clean desking combined with off the shelf lighting that we sprayed up to flash colour throughout the space.

We fitted reclaimed cladding and bespoke steelwork for the meeting spaces, and combined a bespoke table with sourced vintage school chairs.

The result was a light and airy space that’s a pleasure to work in.

MOTHER MEETING ROOM

A redundant kitchen space needed turning into a showcase meeting area.

We built bespoke glazed steelwork to separate this space off and yet keep it very much part of the Mother experience. All furniture and lighting was hand sourced by Jackdaw and restored and re-upholstered.

Used as an ideas generator and also for pitches and client meetings , this room has affectionately become known as the Greenhouse. What does every greenhouse need? The backend of an elephant of course!

We created a lifesize African elephant’s rear end to add some irreverence to the scheme. Happily she has now become part of the furniture and provides a constant source of elephant in the room jokes.

MOTHER CANTEEN

A versatile space for eating , events & meetings in this advertising agency.

The brief for this area of Mother’s space in the Biscuit building was to
create a large serving dresser and refectory tables for their canteen.

The Formica-clad tables and benches create a durable solution for
breakout meetings, events and lunches.

The dresser needed to be full of character and look as if it had always
been a part of the space, yet be able to take a beating from the day to day knockabout of a hungry agency.

This was achieved through building modern units with solid hardware,
which were clad in reclaimed timber and finished with a theatrical paint effect.

We mixed vintage pieces from different eras to locate the clothes, along with bespoke shopfitting, keeping a clean bright look to set off the collection.

LBi BOARDROOM

A stylish showcase space for this advertising agency inside the bridge spanning Brick Lane. LBi required a space that could be used for board meetings and pitches. It needed to have a level of formality but not be stuffy and to still feel creative. It also needed to function as a projection space and from time to time as a breakout and function space. The challenge was to do all this whilst retaining the character of the bridge room.

We clad the walls with walnut- framed fabric panels which allowed agency work to be presented but which could also open to reveal whiteboards for pitches and idea sessions. From behind these panels, walnut screens slide out in unison to blackout the room for projections. We furnished the room with bespoke walnut tables and reconditioned vintage pieces.
